FOCUS GROUPS IN CATALONIA – March and June 2024

In March, professionals from Fundació Villablanca, Taller Baix Camp, and Aspercam gathered with Let Her in to discuss the accessibility of healthcare services for people with disabilities. They highlighted significant gaps, particularly in rural areas, and stressed the need for better training for healthcare professionals. The consensus was clear: with proper support, women with disabilities can be effective caregivers.

By June, a focus group with women from "Down Tarragona" shared their experiences of discrimination and exclusion, especially in employment and societal participation. They emphasised the importance of respecting their autonomy and advocated for inclusive policies that empower women with disabilities to make informed decisions about their lives and motherhood.
